VanMoof opens first UK store at London’s Seven Dials
VanMoof, the Dutch designer bike brand, has chosen London’s Seven Dials for the opening of its first UK store.
Situated at 5-11 Shorts Gardens, the 1,600 square foot space has a large showroom as well as a workshop for VanMoof bike repairs. The store will also offer test rides around the Seven Dials area for the three exclusive models displayed in-store.
The brand will be offering customers the chance to personalise their bikes in terms of colour, height, ride settings and accessories. Other brands offering personalisation services in the shopping district include Nixon, Duke and Dexter, Le Labo, Laura Lee, Dinny Hall and Tatty Devine.
Leigh Richards, store manager and brand development manager for VanMoof UK, said: “We are delighted to launch this first store in the UK and expand the VanMoof brand. We are reinventing the whole cycling experience, from buying, to repairing, to recovering and this modern showroom in busy Seven Dials is the perfect place to introduce customers to our unique way of doing things.”
In the last twelve months, Seven Dials has welcomed a first UK store for SONOS and flagship stores for Ellesse and NIOD.
Sam Bain-Mollison, head of retail at the Shaftesbury real estate investment trust, said: “VanMoof’s design focused approach to the city bike will strongly appeal to Seven Dials residents and visitors alike, many of whom are interested in style, design and innovative or disruptive products being brought to market.”
