Sports Direct launches membership scheme

Frasers Group has launched of new membership scheme for Sports Direct as it looks to drive loyalty.

Called Sports Direct Membership, the new benefit-based programme will reward regular customers with exclusive benefits and personalised offers both in-store and online.

Benefits of the scheme will include exclusive offers and discounts, monthly prize draws, access to member events and experiences,  and brand benefits such as free access to the Everlast Gyms fitness app and discounted Everlast Gyms membership

Introduced as part of Frasers Group’s digital elevation strategy, the scheme is its first membership programme in the UK.

The group is now considering rolling out similar membership programmes across other fascias such as Flannels and Frasers.

Michael Murray, chief executive of Frasers Group, said: “Sports Direct Membership marks the next step in the digital transformation and elevation of our retail business, with the aim of delivering a truly seamless omnichannel shopping experience.

“This will allow us to understand our customers even better, and in turn, they will benefit from unique, personalised offers from their favourite leading sports brands and derive more value when they shop at Sports Direct.”
