Nike opens House of Innovation 000 in New York

Nike has opened a new innovative store in New York called House of Innovation 000.

The 68,000 square foot shop on the corner of Fifth Avenue and 52nd Street has an entire floor that uses local data to stock its shelves and then re-stock them based on what its customers want. In addition, NikePlus members can reserve items via phone and have them held in an in-store locker, ready for pickup.

The brand is also offering Local Nike Members the chance to book one-to-one customer service sessions via the Nike App. This will include working with a Nike expert to find the right item and to create a personal look at the store’s fully-furnished customisation station. To mark the opening, the shop also features two maker’s studios where shoppers can customise their shoes with a choice of laces, fabrics, decals and more.

In addition, the tiles on the Arena area of the store can be rearranged at a moment’s notice to enable the store to host new spaces and configurations.

New services offered at the store include Shop the Look where customers can scan an in-store mannequin, browse every item that the mannequin is dressed in, check for specific sizes, then ask for the items to be sent to a fitting room.

Shoppers are also able to access Nike’s instant checkout service where they can check out from the Nike App at special in-store checkout stations.

Meanwhile, the Sneaker Lab on the fourth floor has the largest concentration of Nike footwear anywhere in the world.
