Jollyes launches free self-service dog wash stations in UK stores
Jollyes is set to open its innovative ‘Wash & Go’ self-service dog wash stations at four stores on Friday, 7 February.
The new canine cleaning stations will be available at Colchester, Bolton, Harlow, and Plymouth, with Selby scheduled to follow in the coming months.
To celebrate, Jollyes is offering free dog washes from 7 to 14 February at the new locations, as well as at existing Wash & Go stations in Scunthorpe, Enfield, Newport (Isle of Wight), Totton, and Waterlooville. Normally priced at £5 per session, the free washes give dog owners the perfect opportunity to clean up their pups without the hassle of messing up their home bathrooms.
The Wash & Go units work much like self-service car washes. Pet owners simply place their dog into the large bath and swipe their card to activate up to 15 minutes of cleaning, with settings adjusted depending on the size and needs of the dog.
Never Miss a Retail Update! The stations have already been trialled in five stores and have proven especially popular with dog walkers looking for a quick and easy solution after muddy adventures. The upcoming launch highlights Jollyes’ ongoing commitment to making pet care more convenient and accessible.
In addition to the new Wash & Go installations, Jollyes will also be upgrading existing units at several stores throughout the year. Meanwhile, major store makeovers are planned for Harlow and Selby, with new community pet clinic rooms and expanded raw frozen pet food sections among the improvements.
“As every dog owner knows, cleaning your canine after a muddy walk can be a messy job,” said Phil Turner-Naylor of Jollyes. “Our new Wash & Go stations will keep your home bathroom pristine and are just as easy to use as a self-service car wash.”
The rollout of the Wash & Go stations is part of Jollyes’ broader growth and innovation strategy. The company had an outstanding 2024, securing new investments, lowering over 3,000 prices, and earning numerous accolades, including being named the best retailer under £250m turnover at the Retail Week Awards. It was also recognised by The Sunday Times as one of Britain’s best big companies to work for.
