Dobbies to launch new small store format

Garden centre retailer Dobbies is developing a new small store format called Little Dobbies.

The first Little Dobbies store will open in Edinburgh’s Raeburn Place in November and will offer customers a range of convenience gardening products, houseplants and pots, as well as a selection of gifts and seasonal products.

From opening, the shop will also stock a range of Christmas items such as decorations, wreaths and hampers.

In addition, the store will include a coffee shop area offering hot and cold drinks and takeaway food.

Graeme Jenkins, chief executive at Dobbies, said: “This is an exciting new venture for our team, as we launch the first Little Dobbies. The store will feature gardening essentials for city centre residents and will showcase some of the extensive ranges available at our larger stores and at dobbies.com. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the project and we can’t wait to open the doors of Little Dobbies in November.”
