Buzz Bingo unveils August reopening plans
Retail bingo operator Buzz Bingo has unveiled plans to reopen clubs from 6 August. The clubs will have enhanced safety measures in place to keep customers and staff safe during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The company said it will initially open 12 clubs across the UK as part of a phased rollout of 117 venues.
Safety measures will include the introduction of maximum capacities, floor markers for social distancing, and perspex screens at the reception, bar and bingo sales areas, as well as between machines and fixed gaming terminals
Chris Matthews, chief executive of Buzz Bingo said: “We can’t wait to reopen our doors from 6 August and be back together again with our customers, it has been a long time apart. Our clubs are at the heart of local communities but we only wanted to reopen when we were sure we had done everything to keep our customers and colleagues safe.
“We’ve spent the last few months eagerly preparing for their return and our clubs are now Covid-secure with enhanced cleaning schedules, simplified sessions and easy social distancing.”
Ahead of the Government’s lockdown, Buzz Bingo temporarily closed all of its clubs due to the pandemic. Those due to reopen in August include:
- Aldershot
- Coventry Savoy
- Derby City
- Enfield
- Feltham
- Fenton
- Gloucester
- Leicester
- Lordshill
- Nottingham Top Valley
- Swindon
- Tooting
