American Golf teams up with Golfbidder on clubs trade in service

American Golf has introduced a programme where customers can trade in a wider selection of their old golf clubs in return for store credit.

The retailer has partnered with Golfbidder on the scheme as it looks to ease the financial pressure on players during the cost-of-living crisis.

Players can now upgrade their clubs at any American Golf store and trade in a wider range of club brands, including TaylorMade, Ping and Callaway, against products to the same value as the pre-owned item.

Under the new agreement, customers will also be able to trade in wedges as long as the trade in value is lower than the product being purchased.

Gary Favell, chief executive of American Golf, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Golfbidder to allow a more cohesive club trade in service to our customers.  American Golf is passionate about continuously improving our customer journey and Golfbidder’s extensive experience in the pre-owned golf equipment service area is second to none.

“By partnering with Golfbidder it allows our customers to upgrade and recycle a greater selection of old clubs quickly and efficiently, as well as having the option of trading in multiple clubs. This ensures American Golf better supports players’ needs, especially as the cost-of-living rises.”

All items traded in under the new system will be shipped directly to Golfbidder’s headquarters in Surrey to be verified, processed, and repackaged for sale via its website and showroom.

American Golf has 94 retail stores across the UK and Ireland and also offers delivery to countries across Europe.
