Adidas re-imagines the retail experience with new London store
Adidas has opened a new flagship store on London’s Oxford Street as it looks to provide customers with a new innovative shopping experience.
The store is the brand’s most digital to date and features over 100 digital touchpoints that are all powered by green energy.
When using the Adidas app in-store, customers can take advantage of a ‘Bring It to Me’ feature which uses in-store geolocation tracking to provide an uninterrupted browsing experience. They can use it to scan products, check stock, request their size and purchase items on the spot as they shop without the need to queue or go to designated collection spaces.
In The Base area of the store, visitors will be able to take part in product experiences, activations and interactive challenges in an immersive environment made from LED screens.
Meanwhile, the store’s interactive changing room mirrors use RFID technology to recognise products and allow shoppers to request different sizes and colours without leaving the space.
Roland Auschel, the Adidas executive board member responsible for global sales, said: “We’re confident with the new Adidas LDN store we have created an unrivalled experience for shoppers, our most digital store ever, a hub of creativity and innovation for the city and the very best expression of our brand all in one amazing blockbuster destination.”
The shop also offers a range of bespoke services such as in-store sneaker cleaning and bra fitting as well as product testing in the store’s Running Lab.
