Pets at Home launch menopause support for colleagues

This week, to celebrate World Menopause Day, Pets at Home officially launched support initiatives to support colleagues experiencing Menopause or Perimenopause.

The retailer announced on a LinkedIn post that they were launching a brand-new Menopause support centre online where colleagues can access useful information and a Menopause Survey. The survey is to help the firm better understand what more they could do as a business to support those experiencing Menopause. A Menopause Support Group has also been setup.

Rachel Mooney, Chief People Officer for Pets at Home told The Retail Bulletin that she was “proud that Pets at Home is taking clear steps to support colleagues” and that “this was just the start of their journey.”

Mooney said: “We want to provide immediate help for colleagues who are in this phase of their lives and to create a safe space to share experiences and get advice. We are all impacted by the Menopause, either directly or indirectly, and I’m hopeful that we can bring a meaningful difference to our community through our efforts.”

Mooney was appointed as the new chief people officer earlier this month. She previously held the same role at Monzo Bank and prior to that held senior positions at Snow Software, Vodafone and Google.
