Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield appoints leasing director for UK & Italy

Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield has appointed Kate Orwin to the role of leasing director for the UK & Italy.

In her new position, she will be responsible for leasing strategy, key occupier relationships and leadership of the leasing team. This will include overseeing strategy and negotiations for current and new occupiers whilst working  with the company’s operating management, asset management and development teams. She will join the company from Hammerson where she was responsible for leasing its UK portfolio of flagship destinations.

Scott Parsons, regional managing director pf the UK & Italy at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, said: “We’re delighted that Kate has joined our team, heading up the leasing function for Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield in the UK & Italy. Kate brings with her 20 years of industry experience across flagship destinations and we look forward to welcoming her on board.”

Due to join the company in February, Orwin will succeed Keith Mabbett who is taking on a  new position of senior adviser – business development.

Parsons added: “Keith Mabbett moves into his new role, having underpinned our successful leasing platform since 2004, creating unique opportunities and bringing first to market brands to our centres and reinventing our spaces. Now more than ever, it’s important that we continue to bring the best experiences to our customers, and Kate’s breadth of experience will help ensure that Westfield centres continue to attract the best and newest brands.”
