Staffordshire shopping centre to remain closed on Boxing Day

Outlet shopping centre Affinity Staffordshire is to close its doors on Boxing Day for the first time since it opened in 1999.

Situated just off the M6, the centre said in a statement that it wants to give staff a two-day break this Christmas.

Centre manager Sue Sweatmore explained: “All of our staff work incredibly hard all year round and their efforts during the pandemic doesn’t go unnoticed. That’s why this year, we’re allowing our stores to give staff, and customers, a chance to enjoy the festive season the way it should be celebrated… with our loved ones. It’s the least we can do to say thank you.”
