Realm’s UK outlet portfolio reports increased sales and footfall
The Realm portfolio of outlet centres has reported that total sales rose by 16% year-on-year in 2016. On a like-for-like basis sales were up 7% as footfall grew by 5% in the year.
The portfolio also achieved a strong Christmas period with sales climbing by 13% on the same month in the previous year.
In addition, it was a record year for leasing transactions with 75 new deals across the ten outlet centre estate.
Realm’s managing director Colin Brooks said: “Our portfolio sales growth for the year ending December 2016 and the level of leasing activity reflects growing confidence in the outlet sector from consumers and retailers alike. We are looking forward to delivering further sales growth and tenant mix improvements during 2017.”
