Moss Bros and Skechers to open flagships at Victoria Place
Moss Bros and Skechers are to join the line-up at Woking’s Victoria Place this spring.
Men’s formalwear retailer Moss Bros will occupy a 2,742 square foot boutique on Henry Plaza from where it will sell its full collection of clothing, footwear and accessories, including its recently launched casualwear range. In addition, the shop will feature a new store concept as the brand gears up for further site openings throughout the year.
Brian Brick, chief executive at Moss Bros, said: “Moss Bros has shown remarkable resilience over the pandemic, and we are keenly focused on reinvesting in the high street and opening new stores within key regions around the UK. We’ve always had a desire to open in Woking, as the town centre serves a broad and wealthy catchment and is well placed to become a major destination due to the significant investment from Moyallen Group and Woking Borough Council. We are very pleased to be joining the Woking community and look forward to a bright future at Victoria Place.”
Meanwhile, Skechers has taken a 5,000 square foot unit at Victoria Place which will offer shoppers 700 different styles of lifestyle and performance footwear for men, women and children, as well as various fashion items.
Moss Bros and Skechers will also be joined by three leading F&B brands following the signing of Itsu, Gail’s and independent Surrey-based cocktail bar, Komo. In addition, national gym chain The Gym Group is to open an 11,500 square foot gym in the Peacocks, which forms part of Victoria Place.
Councillor Ayesha Azad, leader of Woking Borough Council, said: “As we approach the official opening of phase one of Victoria Place, the £700 million regeneration scheme of the town centre, Woking is fast becoming a destination of choice for well-established brands. We’ve very proud these brands have chosen to open in Woking. They will enhance our existing retail and F&B offering, adding more variety for local residents and visitors alike, helping us continue delivering a unique experience for visitors.”
