Meadowhall signs up four new retailers

The Meadowhall shopping centre in Sheffield has signed up four new retailers as it continues to increase its footfall.

The centre has recorded its twelfth consecutive month of year-on-year footfall growth which it partly attributes to its late night offering.

Newbie, the Swedish children’s lifestyle brand, will be opening a 900 square foot store at the centre while jewellery brand Lovisa will be launching a 700 square foot shop.  Meanwhile, Rituals and Hobbs have opened  stores spanning 1,000 square feet and 2,000 square feet respectively.

Meadowhall has recorded a 6% increase in footfall since 2018, with over 2 million people visiting the centre after 4pm since January. The centre said its evening workshops and The Post Room selfie attraction are just some of the new initiatives that have been successful in attracting shoppers.

Ben Grose, head of retail leasing for Meadowhall, said: “Despite tough market challenges, Meadowhall continues to draw in exciting new brands and increasing numbers of shoppers, demonstrating the strong appeal of the best retail destinations.”
