Landsec chief executive to retire
Shopping centre owner Landsec has announced that its chief executive is to retire.
The company said Robert Noel has informed the board that he will step down in 2020. Landsec will be commencing a formal search for his successor. Once an appointment is made, Noel will stay on for a handover period.
Cressida Hogg, Landsec chairman, said: “On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Rob for the energy and commitment with which he has led the company through a period of change and growth, transforming the portfolio and strengthening the balance sheet. Under his leadership Landsec has developed iconic buildings, especially in Victoria, in the City and at Westgate in Oxford.”
Noel has been in the role for nearly eight years. Prior to that, he worked with Great Portland Estates.
Landsec’s shopping centre portfolio includes the likes of Bluewater, One New Change, The Galleria and St David’s.
