Intu Derby launches new leisure offer
The Intu Derby shopping centre has opened a new leisure destination and introduced two new brands to the East Midlands.
Indoor adventure golf operator Paradise Island Adventure Golf is opening at the centre’s 42,000 square foot extension alongside tenpin bowling operator Hollywood Bowl. The latter is also set to launch two more venues at leisure extensions at Intu Watford and Intu Lakeside next year.
At Intu Derby, a multi-storey car park was converted into the new leisure space to make way for new brands.
Intu has introduced a number of other brands to the centre in recent months including Cath Kidston, New Look Men and the first of Carluccio’s new-concept restaurants outside of London. The new leisure area also incorporates the centre’s luxury cinema Showcase Cinema de Lux.
Nick Round, regional director of Intu, said: “By further establishing Intu Derby as a sought-after destination for brands and customers, our new leisure offer is exactly the right space for Hollywood Bowl and Paradise Island Adventure Golf to reach customers in the east midlands the region for the first time.”
“Our strategy is to create a stronger leisure offer and retail mix across our nationwide portfolio of shopping destinations so we’re excited to be making this a reality by bringing more compelling experiences to Intu Derby customers that will help all our retailers to flourish.”
