Centre:mk reports 2019 footfall growth

The Centre:mk shopping centre in Milton Keynes has reported a 2.5% increase in footfall for 2019.

It also experienced changing footfall patterns and shopping behaviours with a significant increase in visitors on Mondays and Sundays as well as post 5pm.

During the year, the centre signed 10 new retailers including Neon Sheep, Newbie, Typo, Primark, Chatime, Morano’s, Trailfinders, Skechers, Lovisa and Lush.

In addition, the centre attracted three million visitors over the Christmas period.

Kevin Duffy, centre director at Centre:mk, said 2019 had been a great success for the shopping destination. He added: “Our £50 million investment programme including our award winning guest services and ‘smart’ car park reflects our ongoing commitment to both our retailers and shoppers and we believe Centre:mk will go from strength to strength as we move into the new year.”
