Capco appoints Situl Jobanputra as chief financial officer
Capital & Counties Properties, the owner of London’s Covent Garden Estate, has named Situl Jobanputra as its new chief financial officer. He will join the business on 17 January.
The appointment follows the resignation of Soumen Das as managing director and chief financial officer in the summer.
The responsibility for the oversight of Covent Garden will now revert to Ian Hawksworth, chief executive of Capco. Soumen will step down as chief financial officer on 31 December but will remain with the business until 15 January to ensure a smooth transition.
Jobanputra is an experienced corporate financier having led Deutsche Bank’s UK real estate investment banking team before joining Capco in January 2014. He was originally brought in to provide support on corporate finance and capital markets and to oversee the finance functions at Earls Court and Lillie Square.
Commenting on the appointment, Hawksworth said: “We are delighted to welcome Situl to the board of Capco and the role of chief financial officer. He is well respected within the company and the wider markets and has significant investment banking and finance experience. Capco is committed to developing talent and Situl has consistently delivered since joining Capco. This appointment will also allow the existing successful finance structure to continue to operate efficiently.”
