Battersea Power Station appoints James Carragher as estates director
Battersea Power Station has appointed James Carragher as estates director and added four new members to its estate management team ahead of its opening this year.
Carragher will be responsible for managing the operational performance of the scheme’s growing estate. He previously spent nine years working at Landsec, most recently as operations director for the Central London portfolio. Prior to that, he was general manager for the Nova development in Victoria.
In addition, David Collins has been hired as head of retail and commercial services. He has joined the business from Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield where his most recent role was senior operations manager. When it opens, Battersea will be home to over 100 shops, bars and restaurants and will also include a new high street at Electric Boulevard.
Other new members of the team include head of energy services Yiannis Moraitopolous, head of residential operations Nipa Bhanu, and residential property manager Nadeem Ghous Chaudary.
Simon Murphy, chief executive of Battersea Power Station Development Company, said: “In line with the progress being made across the site, we are pleased to be strengthening our Estate Management team with this first wave of new hires to be led by James who will be instrumental in overseeing and managing the operational processes involved in the next stages of the project. James and colleagues bring significant experience and expertise, which will be required as we transition towards the opening of the next two phases of the development and we look forward to welcoming them all to the team.”
