Battersea Power Station announces first wave of retail brands

Battersea Power Station has announced that nine brands have signed up to become some of the first retailers to take space at the new shopping and leisure destination.

Retail brands set to join the line-up include Hugo Boss, Jo Malone, Mac Cosmetics, Uniqlo, Space NK, Kiehl’s, Watches of Switzerland, Finlay & Co and Royal Selangor.

In addition, Archlight Cinema has chosen the space for its second cinema in London.

The retailers will set up shop in the Power Station’s two Turbine Halls when it launches in 2021. Once open, the space will be home to over a hundred retail, food and leisure brands. It will also include the Battersea Power House event area, which will used for a range of cultural, fashion shows and music events.

The Power Station said around 70% of its total commercial space is now let. In addition, more than 45% of its retail and leisure floorspace is now exchanged or under offer.

Simon Murphy, chief executive of Battersea Power Station Development Company, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with these exciting brands which set the tone for our retail and leisure offering inside the Power Station.  On behalf of our Malaysian shareholders we are delivering a destination for our local community as well as London and far beyond. We enter 2020 with a very strong pipeline of retail and leisure brands intending to make the Power Station their home, which we will announce over the course of the year.”
