Wellworths gets signage into shape with Episys Immediate Impact

Wellworths, a general merchandise store based in Dorchester, has selected Episys, to supply and implement its Immediate Impact solution to help the store produce effective, low cost professional signage.

Wellworths was opened in March, on the site of an old Woolworths store, by Claire Robertson, who was previously the Woolworths store manager.  The Immediate Impact solution from Episys will enable Wellworths to produce branded signage across its store.  Immediate Impact is a hosted signage solution, which only requires a computer with a web browser and a printer.

Claire Robertson, Store Manager, Wellworths, said, “It’s crucial to our business that we have good signage in our store, to ensure consistent communications with our customers.  Episys had previously provided Woolworths with a very effective signage solution, across an 825 store estate.  The team at Wellworths kept saying that they missed the old system, and it was one area where we felt we’d taken a step back, but we were struggling to find a solution that suited us.”

Wellworths required a signage system that would provide brand consistency across the store in a uniformed way.  It also needed a solution that would allow it to produce signage quickly, for fast paced promotional activity.

Robertson continued, “When Episys got in touch and demonstrated the benefits that the new Immediate Impact solution could deliver our business, I was delighted, as it will really fill the gap in our operations.  We don’t have the resources for a designer and IT department, so this is the ideal solution for us.  We considered outsourcing our printing requirements, but this didn’t suit us, as it would have been a drain on our time, and wouldn’t allow us to quickly produce signage, which we need to do in a dynamic environment.”

The solution will be deployed in time for Christmas trading.  Robertson concluded, “We’re really excited about getting Immediate Impact up and running.  It will allow us to be much more creative, and the continuous support and development that Episys provides will mean that we can take advantage of their investment in the product.”

Peter Lewis, Marketing Director at Episys, said, “The Wellworths story is inspirational.  Claire was passionate about her role at Woolworths, and had a great team behind her, and has risen to the challenge of making Wellworths a successful brand in its own right.  We’re delighted that the Episys Immediate Impact solution will be part of the Wellworths story, and look forward to seeing the improvement the system will make to the customer experience.”

Based on the Episys Retail Enterprise Suite, Immediate Impact provides retailers with a user friendly solution that’s easy to learn and easy to use.  Users can create and print professional signage within minutes, and investment in the system is kept to a minimum, with a ‘pay per use’ mechanism that only charges for the signage printed.
