Outdoor clothing retailer WOMbat selects Eurostop
Wombat introduces integrated promotional campaigns, customer loyalty features and automated replenishment to streamline retail operations with Eurostop
WOMbat, the growing ethical outdoor clothing and lifestyle retailer for men, women and children has selected Eurostop retail management and EPOS systems for its four stores. The system is currently being rolled out across the chain and will also be installed at Wombat’s anticipated new store opening in Spring 2010. Eurostop’s e‑rmis is installed at head office, and its e‑pos installed in store. The combined system will streamline stock management enabling all stores to see what other store’s and the warehouse has in stock, so that they are better able to fulfil customer orders. The system also includes auto-replenish features, which when combined with WOMbat’s group logistics operation enables them to replenish stores overnight.
Ian Milburn, Managing Director at WOMbat commented, “Previously we used standalone EPOS systems at each store, but as the number of stores increased we needed a fully integrated system. Eurostop provided a great value for money option. The system has all the functionality we needed, it is easy to use and there is seven day a week support, which is critical for retailers.”
The system also provides comprehensive reporting and will enable the retailer to centrally control its promotions. Ian Milburn explains, “With the Eurostop system we are now able to control our price points. Previously our store managers had a lot of discretion over what promotions they ran. Now all promotions are run from head office. The tills automatically know if it is a 3 for 2 offer or a buy one get one free offer. Now we can see exactly what the result of each promotion has been.”
Phillip Moylan, Sales & Marketing Manager at Eurostop commented, “As retailers expand it is important that they have a retail management system capable of supporting them. The Eurostop system has been designed to provide all the functionality required by some of the UK’s largest fashion retailers with 100 stores or more, yet remains easy to use, and suitable for the requirements for smaller chains as well. This ensures that retailers like WOMbat will only ever need to buy one system, safe in the knowledge that the system will adapt and grow with them as their business expands.”
