New people counting system identifies age and sex of shoppers

SG Systems UK, the anti-theft solutions provider and CCTV design house, has launched a People Classify Customer Activity Monitoring System which takes the evaluation of video-based, real-time analysis of visitor behaviour to a new proficiency level.

Using intelligent 3D video analytics,  the People Counting System can  provide retailers with precise people counting; informing of how many people pass through specific location at what time, as well as distinguishing between male and female visitors and their age category. SG Systems UK said it can even give information on the current weather conditions.

SG Systems managing director, Symon Millward, commented: “We believe that our new People Classify Customer Activity Monitoring System is a revolutionary product in marketing and information intelligence. This innovative counting system can not only improve efficiency and quality of service but clearly add real value through the power of accurate and unique data.”
