Molton Brown deploys new system to improve global sales tracking
Luxury beauty brand Molton Brown has deployed a new remote system to help it improve its global sales tracking.
The company said the system supplied by VNC would help provide its head office with fast and secure access to sales figures from all retail systems in its 50 UK stores and stockists in 70 countries.
Molton Brown’s HQ and the majority of its manufacturing operations are are based in the UK. Although the company outsources its IT support the internal IT team still needs to collate confidential sales data in-house which previously was entered manually.
With the sytsem now installed on every Molton Brown POS and back-office PC system across the world, the centralised UK-based IT team can gather round-the-clock access to global sales figures.
Tanay Taank, VP of IT at Molton Brown, said: “Now our IT technicians can access retail systems even outside of trading hours or when staff are busy with customers. As much of this data is confidential it is important that all sessions are authenticated and strongly-encrypted to ensure the secure transfer of data.”
