Major UK retailer selects OMNIA solutions, achieving 50% cost reduction over legacy MPLS

SDWAN & SASE Solutions [SDWS] today announced a significant contract win to deploy SDWS’ OMNIA solution – the disruptively innovative combined connection and protection solution.

OMNIA seamlessly integrates technologies from Check Point, Thales, Turnium and Console Connect into the ground-breaking solution, which is smashing through price barriers and removing integration and time management complexities for businesses of all sizes.

The customer, a major UK retailer, will deploy a bespoke OMNIA solution across the enterprise’s network infrastructure, replacing their existing MPLS network. The deal represents a landmark shift in their enterprise networking strategy as they transform into a SaaS based company. While the OMNIA solution delivers resilience and bigger bandwidths to every store as well as introducing a full SASE security stack is still expected to deliver approximately 50% cost savings compared to the retailer’s previous MPLS infrastructure.

“This transformation project demonstrates that enterprises no longer need to choose between performance and cost efficiency,” said Anthony Senter CEO at SDWAN & SASE Solutions. “Our OMNIA connection and protection solution, underpinned by TURNIUM’s SD-WAN software adapted to create a solid foundation for SDWS’ own ATOMIUS SD-WAN, delivers superior capabilities at a fraction of the cost you would expect. Word is spreading about the completeness of the solution, the ease of deployment and of course the cost, in both the SME and enterprise markets and particularly in businesses where network and cybersecurity skills are lacking, leading to an increase in business enquiries by over 200%”

The long-term managed service contract involves deploying OMNIA’s comprehensive solution across hundreds of sites locations across the entire UK. The solution’s next-generation Atomius SD-WAN technology underpins and powers the entire OMNIA solution and will provide the retailer with up to 1Gbps throughput capacity per site, significantly surpassing their previous MPLS (and most market solutions today) capabilities while dramatically reducing costs.

According to the customer, it was initially the cost that made them take note of the solution, and the fact that it delivers every component they needed, in a single one supplier contract. When they compared the OMNIA solution to big name brands in the market, (and after an extensive POC with OMNIA) there was no doubt that we had a clear winner.

Doug Childress, CEO of TURNIUM, added: “This partnership exemplifies the power of combining TURNIUM’s advanced SD-WAN technology with SDWAN & SASE Solutions’ innovative OMNIA platform. Together, we’re enabling enterprises to modernise their networks while significantly reducing costs.”

The migration from MPLS to OMNIA is scheduled for completion within 2025 with initial deployments already underway.
