Consumer Expectations – Restaurant and Retail Survey Results

Download the free report to find out what UK consumers feel about how new technologies are being used in restaurants and non-grocery stores in 2019. The survey was run in October 2019 in conjunction with The Retail Bulletin and Ergonomic Solutions. Using the Maru/HUB platform, 500 UK consumers were asked about their attitudes towards the use of emerging technologies in non-grocery stores and when eating out in restaurants.

It looks at some of the most common frustrations that shoppers face when visiting a store and the annoyances that diners experience when eating outside of the home, which could potentially drive them to shop more online or dine out elsewhere in future. The survey also looks at the perceptions of consumers in relation to new technologies that are being implemented across the country in shops and restaurants, and whether people are finding that they improve the experience or add another item to the list of frustrations.

Download the survey now to get insights on:

  • Shopper frustrations when visiting stores and diners’ annoyances when eating out
  • How emerging technologies are being used in these settings and how consumers feel about them
  • A consumer view on the impact that these types of technologies may have on their future shopping or dining out habits
  • Consumer attitudes towards human interactions with staff when eating out or shopping in store.
