Co-operative Group switches 3000 stores to WebWay signalling

WebWay provides 3 revolutionary security products in one device for use in domestic, business, public sector and national retail risks.

The first product is a secure dual path alarm signalling system for intruder, fire, temperature, equipment tamper, Adpro and audio alarms. The second is a communications monitoring solution to detect faults and measure performance in any network with real time remote diagnostics.  The third is a secure, communications network for servicing alarm panels without call charges.

The Co-operative Group’s Food Retail Loss Prevention Manager Richard Quinn said, “This is an exciting project, converting a large number of stores within a short period of time, which will deliver significantly enhanced support for store colleagues and enable robust and improved management of the business’ security infrastructure, through reducing cost and service efficiency.”

The WebWay solution benefits security managers, installers and ARCs by unifying the transmission of alarms and remote servicing over encrypted communications paths (IP or GPRS) without line rental or call charges. Remote servicing reduces site visits to 1 from the mandatory 2. Regular remote servicing can catch system faults earlier than six monthly on site visits.

“During all our national retail projects we provide regular electronic reports for coordinators in both security companies and the client organisations. We help track the progress of the project, ensuring that all systems are installed to optimum performance from day one.” says Jim Carter, Customer Service Manager at WebWayOne.
