Box Technologies continues European expansion with new Oslo office
Box Technologies, the technology solutions provider that works with leading retailers, has opened a new office in Oslo in Norway.
The move follows the company’s launch in Stockholm in the summer of 2013. Box says it has now established itself as a leading supplier of in-store technologies for the Swedish market and is now aiming to cover the entire Nordic region.
The Norwegian business will market and sell Box’s in-store technology products and solutions into the retail sector. The Box range encompasses all aspects of in-store technology including EPoS, mobile, kiosk and interactive customer engagement solutions with content management software.
Box has appointed Henning Hermann as country manager for Norway. Hermann was previously country manager in Norway for the retail technology specialist DigiPoS.
Commenting on his new role, Hermann said: “This is an exciting opportunity to join a business that is increasing its market share, and international footprint. The Swedish launch has been a real success and our aim is to replicate this success in the economically-strong Norwegian market.
“Box has developed such a strong retail technology proposition, and I look forward to playing a key role in the company’s expansion plans.”
Ian Patterson, head of retail at Box, added: “The Norway office opening forms part of the planned international expansion – leading up to 2016.
“We are delighted to welcome Henning to the team and looked forward to supporting the Norwegian retail sector.”
