Aelia selects JDA to help support new store openings

The Travel Retailer aims to improve sales and customer satisfaction

Supply chain company JDA have announced Aelia, the core duty free and luxury competence and branding centre of LS Travel Retail EMEA, a division of the Lagardère Services group, selected the JDA Space Planning solution, in the first quarter of 2010 to support store openings and improve sales and customer satisfaction.

Aelia intends to use the solution at its 168 sales outlets in major travel networks, including 28 airports in France, Great Britain, Czech Republic and Poland.

JDA Space Planning is designed to help companies quickly and profitably construct, manage, analyse, optimise and distribute detailed in-store planograms, eliminating the manual process of creating planograms using spreadsheets based on the market share of each brand. Aelia is increasing its number of new store openings and has more than 14,000 perfume and cosmetic inventory items.

The Retail Bulletin Customer Loyalty Conference, sponsored by Barclaycard Freedom, is being held tomorrow (15th June 2011) in London. The conference will explore how retailers can drive profit and customer retention through cost-effective and engaging loyalty strategies. To attend as a delegate, click here.
