Terry Duddy steps down from Hammerson board
28 January, 2019 | by Retail Bulletin
Shopping centre owner Hammerson has announced that Terry Duddy has stepped down as a non-executive director and senior independent director of the business as part of a mutual agreement.
The move follows Duddy’s appointment as interim chairman of the Debenhams department store chain.
Duddy has recently completed nine years’ service on the Hammerson board so it was expected that he would step down at the company’s AGM in April in any case.
Debenhams said it has appointed Gwyn Burr as its new senior independent director with immediate effect and that its search for a new non-executive director is at an advanced stage.
