Swarovski to open new Peterborough store
Crystal jewellery brand Swarovski is to open a new store at Peterborough’s Queensgate shopping centre.
Due to launch this spring, the 800 square foot store will sell the brand’s range of crystal jewellery alongside genuine gemstones and accessories.
Founded in 1895 in Austria, Swarovski is a fifth generation family business and has around 2,800 stores across the world.
The signing follows the shopping centre’s announcement regarding plans for a 77,000 square foot extension, which is to be anchored by an Empire Cinema. The first phase of the extension is being carried out in partnership with John Lewis which is investing in its store this year.
Guy Thomas, head of retail at Queensgate operator Lendlease, said: “Swarovski is a highly reputable brand with a strong heritage and global reach, making them a brilliant addition to Queensgate.”
