Medi Parry-Williams launches new venture in town and shopping centre regeneration

Medi Parry-Williams, who is based in Knutsford, Cheshire has launched her new business to support and reinvigorate our much-loved towns and shopping centres.

Medi, who is trading as ‘MPW Making Places Work’, brings over 15 years’ experience in the shopping centre and town centre regeneration industry to an increasingly competitive market. With her passion, expertise and vision, she is set to reinvigorate and regenerate a number of retail destinations which have suffered a decline in trade and footfall over the last few years.

The award-winning and international business entrepreneur is committed to making a positive difference within communities, focusing on sustainable practices, a trending topic within the retail industry. She will lead her team in shopping centre revitalisation, town centre regeneration and will focus on enhancing skills in local centre teams, empowering them to pursue initiatives which encourage further growth and development.

Medi has a record of applying her energy, problem-solving techniques and professional skills and together with her incredible team, they will transform communities to create jobs and boost the local economy. Having extensive experience at board level whilst simultaneously executing growth initiatives on the ground, Medi has an ‘all-round’ knowledge of what makes a successful destination.

Medi has appointed two specialists to support the business and its delivery:- Dr Sara Parry: Expert in marketing and consumer behaviour – Anna Edwards: Specialises in the night-time economy, soon to gain a Doctorate in urban economic development. These complementary skills make for an extremely strong and capable team who will support the company in this key community and strategic role.

Medi, Founder and Director of MPW, Making Places Work says, “This is such an important time for our retailers, town centres and communities. With the rise of e-commerce and the impact of the pandemic, the retail industry has been facing significant challenges, leading to a decline in footfall in high streets and shopping centres. We understand that every retail location has its own set of challenges and we aim to address these. But, with the right strategy and the right team, we’re excited to energise and reinvigorate local retail destinations and communities, transforming them into the thriving places they deserve to be”.
