John Lewis has revealed that its new department store in Cheltenham will open on 18 October.
The retailer is investing £23 million in the 115,000 square foot shop which will be managed by Martin Bundy.
Bundy joined John Lewis over 18 years ago, initially as a shop floor assistant at the Southsea department store. Since then, he has held senior roles in several John Lewis shops including those in Southampton, Bluewater, Newbury and Chichester. During his career he has also held various project and branch development positions in the company’s head office.
Commenting on his appointment, Bundy said: “I’m very proud to be given this great opportunity and excited to show the people of Cheltenham our new shop. Before we open we have a lot to do. As well as getting the shop ready we will recruit and train hundreds of new Partners ready to deliver outstanding customer service.”
