ECCO moves to upsized store at St David’s

Danish shoe retailer ECCO has relocated within Cardiff’s St David’s shopping centre to a larger store.

The new shop on Upper Grand Arcade is situated near to John Lewis and stocks the brand’s full collection of shoes and belts.

Jack Cleary, head of retail operations at ECCO, said: “This prime location attracts the high-volume footfall we desire when selecting our store locations, and this was important when deciding to expand our presence at St. David’s. We are very excited to once again open our doors to the bustling and lively Cardiff, with a new and reimagined design which hopes to keep up with a marketplace, which is constantly growing and adapting.”

Speaking on behalf of the St David’s Partnership, a joint venture between Landsec and intu, Colin Flinn, intu’s regional managing director – west, added: “Footwear brands are an important part of our fashion line-up and the positive trading figures across the festive period reflect our dedication to leasing relevant, leading brands that are popular with our visitors. ECCO’s choice to upsize its unit is a result of its success at St David’s and its commitment to Cardiff.”
