YesColours launches Design Studio bolstered by new investment
Award-winning paint brand YesColours announces new strategic direction with Design Studio, backed by new investment strategy.
“In April 2022, when we launched our innovative packaging for decorative paints, there was one thing on our mind: How could we avoid paint waste and harming the environment when painting our spaces?” comments John Stubbs, Founder & CEO. Since then, over the last two years, YesColours has grown into a recognisable brand in the home decor space and has become more focused on broader opportunities.
“I started to recognise we had greater potential to affect positive change with our brand than just producing sustainable paints,” John continues. “YesColours has the potential to go broader, not only protecting the environment but also enhancing our personal wellbeing, our communities, and the spaces that we all occupy.”
As a business and a brand, YesColours has grown from a seed of an idea focused on innovative packaging to a company that is focused on the positive impact that innovation, colour, creativity, and design can have on a global scale. The brand is now presenting itself as a creative platform and brand; one that empowers everyday people, as well as creatives and designers, to use colour and design to improve mental health, to reconnect with one another, and the world around us.
YesColours is announcing the next step in their journey towards this vision: YesColours Studio.
The YesColours Studio team is comprised of interior designers focused on securing contracts with clients within residential, hospitality, commercial development as well as retail and events. YesColours has also secured access to a global property portfolio, working directly with hotels and high-end residential properties worth over £2 billion.
YesColours is also confirming a new investment round that is being led by RootBridge Capital to help deliver their 2024 strategy, and beyond.
Luca Reho, Founding Managing Partner at RootBridge Capital, comments: “We are proud to continue our relationship with the team at YesColours, who are delivering against their strategy and are now scaling to profitability. This is just the beginning for what promises to be a big year for the team, and we’re excited for their studio launch and the projects to come.”
The founding design team of YesColours Studio comprises the following members: Jim Butterell (Retail and Commercial), Alex Pepes (Workspace, Hospitality, and Residential), Naomi Isted (Global Asset Manager, Residential), Ry Elliot (Residential, BBC Interior Design Masters), Phill Welch (Retail and Events), Emily Harnasz (Lead Colour Consultant), and Julio Calanche (Business Development). Founder & CEO, John Stubbs remains in place focused on strategy, business development, design, and brand. YesColours Co-Founder & Creative Director, Emma Bestley, remains focused on colour and paints development, as well as marketing and PR.
“Adding a design studio offering to YesColours is both an immensely exciting and proud moment. We cannot wait to bring our creative thinking, curiosity, and energy to the design space. We will have some further announcements in the coming weeks and can’t wait to get started.”
