Wickes and Norfolk Leisure bring festive cheer to community hubs
This Christmas, Wickes and Norfolk Leisure teamed up to bring holiday magic to community hubs across the UK by donating 15 stunning 6.5ft faux Christmas trees.
The initiative, part of the Wickes Community Programme, aimed to brighten spaces like hospices, hospitals, food banks, and shelters that provide vital support to those in need.
The beautifully crafted faux trees, from Norfolk Leisure’s BOSK range, were chosen for their natural look and timeless elegance. These donations helped create festive atmospheres in spaces that often face challenging times, bringing a sense of joy and comfort to patients, visitors, and staff.
In addition to the trees, Wickes contributed £3,000 worth of products to enhance these community hubs, allocating £200 per project for essential upgrades. For example, Sobell House Hospice in Oxford received a tree along with an outdoor bench, providing a comforting space for patients awaiting care.
Hannah Randle-Hockin, Wickes Community Engagement Manager, said: “We’re thrilled to partner with Norfolk Leisure on this fantastic initiative. These Christmas trees are a simple way to spread joy in our local communities and make a positive impact.”
Kelly Burgess, Norfolk Leisure Chief Sales Officer, added: “The BOSK trees and donations have made a meaningful difference, spreading Christmas cheer and lighting up someone’s day. Collaborating with Wickes has been a pleasure, and together, we’ve created something truly special.”
The Wickes Community Programme has supported over 3,000 charities and projects nationwide, providing a £250,000 product donation fund to help local groups with essential maintenance, renovations, and new projects. Wickes invites more community organisations to apply for support and continue making a material difference in their communities.
