Victorian Plumbing maintains strong sales growth

Specialist bathroom retailer Victorian Plumbing Group has maintained the strong sales growth seen at the beginning of its new financial year.

This means it has delivered 10% revenue growth in the five months to the end of February.

In a statement ahead of its AGM today. the retailer said it has also seen an improvement in gross margin and marketing spend efficiency compared to the same period a year earlier.

As it continues to focus on its long-term goals, Victorian Plumbing said it is making good progress across all strategic growth areas. This has included successfully replatforming its victorianplumbing.co.uk website and the agreement of a 20 year lease for a new 544,000 square foot distribution centre to support future growth plans.

Last December, the retailer announced that it had returned to growth in the second half of its financial year, which ended on 30 September, with revenue rising by 6%. It also reported that sales had increased by 10% since the start of the new financial year despite lower marketing spend.
