Tupperware to re-enter UK on live TV show ahead of Christmas
After having a low profile in the UK in recent years, the Tupperware brand is re-entering the country with a special live Tupperware party on TV shopping channel, Ideal World.
The channel will be hosting a Tupperware party on 14 December as it aims to showcase the latest in storage design and full meal preparation systems.
The party will focus on four products including the Tupperware Smart Multi Cooker, Tupperware FridgeSmart Starter Set, Tupperware BreadSmart container and the Tupperwar CheeSmart server.
Viewers can tune in and shop at 17:15 today and the four products, together with additional items in the Tupperware® collection, will be available to buy on the Ideal World website.
Neil Gilchrist, chief executive of Brand Creations, an authorised distributor of Tupperware products in the UK, said: “The pandemic led to a huge demand for quality products that keep food fresher for longer and the trend looks set to continue as people adapt to new ways of living, so we’re bringing Tupperware® products back to the UK market at just the right time. While Tupperware® products haven’t been widely available in the UK for years, consumers have loved and trusted the brand for more than seven decades and we’re thrilled to be showcasing some of the brand’s most innovative products on Ideal World.”
Since the famous air-tight bowl was created by American chemist Earl Tupper in 1946, the product line has expanded to include kitchen essentials such as smart cookers, premium utensils, fridge-fresh containers, kitchen gadgets and more.
Steve Hubbard, managing director of Ideal World, said: “Tupperware is an iconic brand that for the last 75 years has helped people live more sustainably by designing quality, durable products that prevent costly food and single-use container waste. The brand revolutionised the way food is saved, prepared and stored and they continue to create smart must-have designs that are built to last. We’re sure the items featured on Ideal World will be a hit with our customers and are looking forward to helping Tupperware build a large UK following over the coming months as we share more ranges.”
