Topps Tiles like-for-like sales rise by 3.8%

Topps Tiles has posted a 3.8% uplift in like-for-like sales in its third quarter.

This represents a marked improvement on the first half of its financial year when like-for-like sales edged up 0.2%.

Matthew Williams, Topps Tiles chief executive, said: “The business performed well over the third quarter with like-for-like sales growing by 3.8%. While this is in part due to a softer trading period in the prior year we are encouraged that the successful execution of our strategy is delivering good trading results.”

Topps Tiles has launched 25 new ranges so far this year.  It is also rolling out a range of new in-store merchandising initiatives.

At the end of the quarter, Topp Tiles had 365 retail stores following three openings in the period.
