TCM Living Group appoints vice chairman and new chief executive
Arlo & Jacob owner TCM Living Group has announced that its chief executive Mark Smith has informed the board of his decision to stand down from his role at the end of the year. He will be succeeded by Jonathan Fearn, who is currently chief financial officer of the company.
While Smith (pictured) will remain with the group in the position of vice chairman, Fearn will take up his new role on 1 January following a four-month handover period.
Pimol Srivikorn, chairman of TCM, said: “On behalf of myself and the group, I would like to thank Mark for his unerring commitment, enthusiasm and hard work as chief executive of TCM Living, successfully leading the business over the past 20 years. Under his leadership, the group has expanded and grown from strength to strength, broadening customer appeal through acquisitions and partnerships, and creating a robust platform for long-term growth.”
Prior to joining TCM in 2020, Fearn was chief financial officer of Shoe Zone and also held senior positions at Celesio and Lloydspharmacy.
Srivikorn added: “I have no doubt that the succession period will run smoothly and look forward to continuing to work closely with Jonathan, building on his substantial contribution to the group’s progress as chief financial officer over the past year.”
In addition to Arlo & Jacob, TCM owns the Alstons Upholstery, Ashley Manor, AMX Design and Alexander & James B2B brands. It also has a brand presence in Thailand under the name James Alexander.
