Screwfix launches rapid delivery service

Screwfix is launching a new rapid service for trade and DIY customers that delivers orders direct to site within 60 minutes.

The move follows a successful trial in Bristol with trade customers.

Called Screwfix Sprint, the service will begin rolling out now with the aim of  covering 30 cities by the beginning of November.

Customers will be able to access the service through the Screwfix app and will be charged £5 per delivery.

John Mewett, chief executive of Screwfix, said: “We understand how busy the nation’s tradespeople are and we are always looking for ways to provide our customers with even greater convenience, meaning they can get what they need, when they need it.

Our one minute click and collect service is already hugely popular and the trial of Screwfix Sprint across Bristol showed how, in addition tradespeople value one hour delivery to where they are working. For many time is money and this means not having to leave site to collect a part, tool or other key essential needed for the job.”
