Revolution Beauty appoints new chief executive
Revolution Beauty has appointed Lauren Brindley as the group’s chief executive.
Due to take up her role and join the company’s board on 18 September, she will succeed Bob Holt who stood down on 31 August.
Meanwhile, executive chairman Alistair McGeorge will move to the position of non-executive chairman, also on 18 September.
Brindley was previously group vice president for beauty and personal care at Walgreens where she was accountable for the American retailer’s beauty and personal care strategy and financial delivery across its 9,000 stores and digital channels.
Prior to that, she worked with Boots UK and Boots Retail International, where she served in various roles including head of prestige beauty and fragrance and head of the No.7 Beauty brand and mass beauty categories.
Brindley began her career at Tesco UK in various marketing and merchandising roles.
McGeorge said: “We are pleased that Lauren will be joining Revolution Beauty at such a critical and exciting time for the group. Lauren’s extensive knowledge of the beauty and retail industries, and proven track record of driving meaningful results, will be critical as we build Revolution Beauty into a global beauty leader.
“I would also like to thank Bob Holt for his contribution during his time as CEO. His work in introducing new protocols across the business and overseeing the lifting of the suspension in trading of the group’s shares means that we are in a good position to pursue the next stage of growth.”
Revolution Beauty has also announced that Colin Henry and Chris Fry have been appointed as independent non-executive directors of the group.
