ProCook on track despite dip in revenue
Pro-Cook ‘s total revenue reached £22.4 million in its third quarter to mark a decline of 2.5%.
However, excluding revenue from discontinued Amazon channels, total revenue grew by 0.8% in the 12 week period to 8 January.
On a like-for-like basis, sales declined by 3.8% in the quarter, although they were 108.7% up on the same period pre-pandemic three years ago.
During the final four weeks of the period, total revenue edged up 2.9% year-on-year, or by 5.9% when Amazon channels were excluded. ProCook said there was a significant shift in its channel mix as customers returned to bricks-and-mortar stores in the run-up to Christmas,
Daniel O’Neill, chief executive and founder of ProCook, said: “While we remain mindful of the current economic climate, the group’s recent performance positions it well to deliver on current market expectations for the full year.
“Our plan to maximise our trading performance and profitability will enable us to emerge stronger from the challenging trading
environment and we remain confident that we will capture increased share of the large kitchenware market with our specialist offer.”
