Poggenpohl to launch flagship Chelsea store
Luxury kitchen brand Poggenpohl is relocating its Pimlico store to a larger flagship in Chelsea this autumn.
Spanning three floors and a total of 2,458 square feet at a site in Fulham Road, the shop will aim to immerse visitors in the German company’s world of heritage kitchen craftsmanship and design, while showcasing elements from its 2021 collection.
Poggenpohl currently has 15 points of sale across the UK and Ireland, including showrooms in Hampstead and Wigmore Street in London. The company said the Chelsea store will form a new ‘hub’ for the brand in the UK.
As with every Poggenphol store, the new shop will see specially trained interior architects developing bespoke solutions for customers’ living spaces.
Sharon Wallis, managing director at Poggenpohl, said: “This will be our first new UK flagship studio to open with our new owners; offering an expansive three floors of display presentation this space allows us to showcase elements of our new 2021 collection, which we are extremely excited to bring to the UK market. The opportunity with this new location in the heart of Chelsea, as part of Sloane Stanley’s portfolio, forms part of our future development and strategic growth plans for one of the most important markets for Poggenpohl Group.”
The Poggenpohl signing follows the recent launch of Love My Human Townhouse, an experience-led concept store for both dogs and owners at 330 King’s Road, and the unveiling of a new flagship store for Lavender Green Flowers at 239 King’s Road.
Hannah Grievson, head of property at Sloane Stanley, said: “We are delighted to have secured Poggenpohl’s new UK flagship site, which is an exciting addition to the design community which we are fostering across our retail portfolio. Sitting comfortably alongside esteemed names such as Mandarin Stone, Farrow & Ball and Benjamin Moore, all on Fulham Road, Poggenpohl’s entrance sees Sloane Stanley remaining firmly at the forefront of premium interior retail.”
