OKA chooses Guildford for biggest store outside of London
OKA, the furniture and home accessories brand, is to open its largest store outside of London in Guildford later this month.
Due to launch on 15 March, the 11,000 square foot shop will be OKA’s fifteenth UK store.
Situated within Tunsgate Quarter, Guildford’s new boutique retail and dining destination, the store will have two floors with three additional mezzanine levels.
The shop will showcase OKA’s range of lamps, cushions, rattan, tableware and other home accessories, as well as sofas, chairs, dining tables, side tables and much larger furniture. OKA Guildford will also house an entirely ‘Faux Florist’ and the Bunched by OKA range of faux flowers, bouquets and plants.
OKA co-founder Annabel Astor said: “We’re in the process of expanding our network of stores and Guildford was an obvious choice as we have a loyal and growing customer base in the surrounding area. We are confident that our covetable collection will appeal to the town’s affluent catchment and visitors alike.”
The new store will also feature OKA’s seasonal signature room sets to give customer ideas and inspiration. In addition, a professional interior designer will be based in-store to offer advice to customers.
Stuart Harris, commercial director and co-founder at Queensberry, said: “We’re thrilled that Oka will be amongst the first shops to open at Tunsgate Quarter. To be home to the largest OKA store outside London, is testament to the unique, high-quality brand mix that we’re curating at the centre.”
