Oak Furnitureland launches new flooring collection in four redesigned showrooms

Oak Furnitureland is launching a bespoke collection of flooring in four of its showrooms as it looks to expand its product range.

The flooring will be displayed in the retailer’s Speke, Cheltenham, Farnborough and Wednesbury stores from 26 December as part of an unveiling of a new showroom design featuring styled roomsets that create the look and feel of a real home.

These will include new “inspiration areas” where a mix of hardwood furniture ranges, sofas, beds and mattresses will be on show together with accessories and other finishing touches. There will also be a dedicated flooring consultation area.

The new engineered hardwood flooring collection features a selection of natural and antique toned shades of wood in a variety of finishes, and in fixed, mixed and herringbone length planks. It will be laid across the entire ground floor of the stores.

Alex Fisher, chief executive of Oak Furnitureland, said: “As a brand, we put our customers at the heart of everything we do, which is why it was important for us to carefully develop our showrooms to bring our furniture to life in an authentic way that will inspire our customers.

“Customers can discover our flooring across the entire showroom, not just on a small display board, so they’re able to see a real difference and discover just how good our flooring looks when it’s laid as part of the whole room. The flooring has been thoughtfully curated to complement our stylish and unique solid wood furniture and sofas, really highlighting how great it will look in the home.”

To further enhance the omnichannel customer shopping experience, Oak Furnitureland has also launched a new app which allows customers to scan and save products to their wish list via QR codes. The VR technology then helps them bring cabinetry and sofa products to life in their own homes.

Fisher added: “Coupled with our new app and VR technology, we believe these four showrooms will create a more seamless shopping experience for our customers, bringing to life our whole home offer, which we will be introducing to more of our showrooms in the year ahead.”
