Neptune steps up London expansion

Handmade furniture specialist Neptune is planning to open at least five new stores in London as part of its ongoing expansion in the capital.

The retailer has instructed Savills to find units measuring between 5,000 and 7,000 square feet in areas such Chelsea, Kensington and Muswell Hill as it looks to add to its existing stores in Chiswick and Fulham.

Lance Marton, director in the Central London retail team at Savills, said: “We are pleased to be supporting Neptune’s ongoing growth and are considering stores in a number of London locations. The initial plan is to secure at least five, with scope for more in 2017.”

Established in a farm workshop in Wiltshire in 1996, Neptune now has over 20 stores outside of London including Bristol, Cheltenham, Wilmslow and York.
