Moda Furnishings reports strong sales

Outdoor furniture retailer Moda Furnishings has seen its sales increase by 250% in the last year as people look to make more use of their outside spaces.

The premium retailer has also made it to the Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100 for the first time with a ranking of 64th place.

Backed by the Endless private equity firm and headed up by founder Jonny Brierley, Moda designs and manufactures all of its own products which it aims to sell at affordable prices.

Speaking of the company’s performance amid the coronavirus pandemic, Brierley told Furniture News: “Since lockdown, people are seeing their outdoor space as an additional room in the home and making use of it in all seasons.”

Nominated for this year’s EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Brierley has doubled the number of staff working in the business in 2021. He has also grown the company’s in-house delivery fleet and warehouse capacity and invested in the supply chain. Other initiatives include launching a number of new collections to help the business appeal further to its UK target market.
