ManoMano doubles sales in 2020

European home and DIY platform ManoMano increased its sales by 100% to £1.2 billion in 2020.

In the UK, growth was even stronger at 240% as sales reached £105 million.

The company now has an average of 50 million unique visitors per month to its website and seven million active customers.

Philippe de Chanville and Christian Raisson, co-founders and co-chief exceutives of ManoMano, said: “The year 2020 has been marked by a considerable increase in European consumers’ digital expectations for DIY, garden and home products. It is thanks to the commitment and resilience of our teams and our retail partners that we have been able to meet this demand, and we would like to thank them for this.”

To deliver the best experience for customers, ManoMano said it will continue to invest in technology and consulting this year. After its successful expansion in Southern Europe, the company now wants to strengthen its presence in Northern Europe. ManoMano said it regards the UK as the most important DIY market and will be investing in TV advertising in the country.

The company will also be recruiting an additional 350 staff members in 2021 to take the total to 1,000.
