Made.com opens newly designed ‘instapartment’ in Amsterdam

Made.com has opened an apartment above its Amsterdam store to enable it to showcase its product range in the context of a real home.

The apartment features a large double bedroom, bathroom, sitting room and lounge as well as a fully stocked kitchen and smaller storage room.

Furnished with Made’s most iconic pieces including a burnt orange Scott sofa, the apartment has been designed to be a haven for instagrammers. In addition to furniture, items on display include prints from renowned artists and Samsung technology products.

The apartment will also be used to host a series of events and workshops and will offer overnight stays for a lucky few.

Jo Jackson, chief creative officer at Made.com, said: “We wanted a space that we could invite people into – in the same way you would your own home – this apartment is the Made home. We kept a lot of the original personality of the building and gave it the Made treatment. Our aim is to create more spaces like this that give real context for our designs while being awesome locations that people want to visit.”
